Project Goal: Located on a former Marine Corps Air Station base, our designers were task with creating a project with sleek contemporary aesthetics and modern floorplans for a diverse buyer wanting urban-like lifestyle with a suburban feel and amenity.
Design Constraint: Homes are plotted in an auto-court formation.
Solution: In order to maintain privacy, the orientation of the home and deck design/location was key. Close attention to window locations at every level helped minimize viewing to interiors - not just from adjacent homes, but also from elevated rooftop decks.
Accomplishments: Architecturally, this home was designed to look and feel contemporary and careful attention was paid to ensure they age gracefully. The use of white as a base stucco color allows accent materials and other colors to enhance the overall building forms. Two car garages with side by side parking is illuminated by frosted glass garage door that not only that it allows natural light in, these doors also provide Architectural detailing to compliment the exterior design. The home design includes an open plan concept floor plan. Ground level living and dining with plenty of natural light filtering in from the outdoor private yard. Second floor includes master suite, including a beautiful master bath with his and hers walk -in closets, laundry room, two bedrooms and one bath. With the living quarters on the first two levels, the third story has a bonus room and acts as the owner’s private rooftop deck.
