Located near Stanford University, this 17-acre master-planned community, University Terrace, is a critical part of Stanford’s efforts to expand housing. The site inhabits many Heritage trees that could not be chopped down, which required WHA to design around them.

• 13 plan types with 30 elevation styles with variations in Craftsman, Spanish, European, Prairie, and Contemporary.
   

• Had to blend with existing community. The neighbors (HOA), the city of Palo Alto, and Stanford University had strong input and were part of the design process.
   

• Height constraints - certain homes could not exceed specific heights due to nearby neighbors.
   

• One of the most sustainable projects to date.
